Identity of the exhibition : posters, exhibition catalog, digital communication.
An exhibition currated by Chloe Luchs:
“To connect the inner and distant worlds of artist and to make the personal collective, artists were invited to set the scene of their universe, lending themselves to an exercise: choose an image or a motif, printed on wallpaper, to serve as a backdrop to their works.
In the manner of a choose-your-own-adventure book and from quotes selected from Ursula Le Guin’s novel The Left Hand of Darkness the public was invited to weave links between the artists decor in order to tell us the story they made of the exhibit. In this novel, the protagonist is on a mission to bring back to Earth what he learns from his encounters on Gethen, a planet where reality is very different from his own. The singularity of the landscapes, the stories, the customs and the political and social organizations reveal to him the other side of a rich, complex and unsuspected scenery to decipher.”
